Hi, anybody got the dimension for the totemsub triggermech, they haven´t answered my mail, and I really would like to get on with my new gun, even though I haven´t got the trigger yet.
I need to know how high the speargun should be at the place the trigger goes, otherwise I can´t make the track and the underside where the handle/trigger arm is.

Obviously not, I however ordered 2 triggers from totemsub last week and is expecting them any time now, shall post the outer dimensions here when i get them, just in case someone else might need to know.

Hi Hc,

I would indeed wait for the trigger to arrive. then you can surely have the dimensions you need, plus you will see how the handle will be 'incorporated' with the trigger if needed.

Im sure you can make a template of the size of the trigger mech so that you can roughly see how the shape will be.

Personally i do this, but when it comes to making the spear track i usually decide how deep i want it to be (also depends whether you want to use shark fin spears or notched ones)...

My order of things.

1. decide trigger mechanism slot location
2. decide handle slot location
3. Cut trigger and handle slot
4. make spear track the depth you want

SOS
5. use the maximum size (diameter) of spear you might be using i.e 7mm (or less i.e 6.5 if your track is not big enough for 7mm) . put it in the track and lock it in place in the trigger mech. Take note-measure the height of the trigger mech casing that rises above the wood (if any) ...

ADD to this height ONE milimeter or 1.5 mm so that the casing lips will go up abit and allow for the spear to slide in track and lock nicely in trigger mech !!! then you can measure for trigger mech pin holes and drill....

so you are sure you can slide the spear and it will lock in trigger mech nice and straight...

in case you want the trigger mech casint to be flush (same level) with the wood surface then you make deeper track as necessary !!!

Nice pointers, thanks.
Since the triggers will arrive any day now, I´ll wait.
