Resting HR is about 55 right now. I don't remember it ever being much under that, even when I was in much better cardio shape (competitive kickboxing and swimming). My EKG is normal and after exertion HR drops back down quickly. When in my late teens as a competitive swimmer I was training intensely about 15 hours a week. My resting HR (high fifties at the time) was higher than most of the others on the team and during a hard set it would go well above what my maximum (as given by 220-age) was 'supposed' to be. I would be obviously winded, etc, but not feeling in cardiac jeopardy or anything like that.
DR heart rate is typically 30's or 40's.
What is yours?
Interestingly Ulf Dextegen writes in the annotations at 9:00 in this video that his puls never drops below 50! I Was a bit surprised by that.
