Hi,

Does anyone know the names of some dive shops in the Los Angeles area which have a lot of freedive masks?

Joe

Thanks, Bill. I will try to find the CA forum.

Joe

Its not easy, and I think that's one reason it gets so little traffic. Its a sub forum buried in International Spearo Network- USA/Canada.

Of course this board is British, so the USA is international from that POV, but we provincial Americans don't tend to look under international to find our home.

Joe,
try the Sphera from Aquasphere. It has the lowest volume and many freedivers like it. Amazon has it for $48.95
You can also try the Freedive Shop on Aviation in Hermosa Beach

Actually- check out the Aquasphere Sphera in the Shopping section of DeeperBlue!

They have it for $36.95

Re: Dive Shops with Most Freedive Masks in Los Angeles Area

i can make a suggestion "freedive and spear" in hermosa beach seems to have a decent selection of masks, a little pricey, but you can probably talk harry down a little bit, he seems to negotiate like a swap meet.

Just wanted to mention, that while the Sphera is a fabulous mask for freediving & underwater pool games, it seems that some people find it doesn't fit them very well.

FE- the Sphera fits me great, but I have a fairly average face shape. MY partner has a narrow face, and the Sphera leaks on her no matter how tight we make the straps.

OTOH, she fits the Cressi Minima perfectly, and loves that mask.

Thank you. The more information I get on this web site, the more I am learning about which masks are most likely to fit me. Thanks again.

Joe

Hi Joe, if you see a change in this thread it's because I've merged it with the identical one from the Beginning Freediving section. This way it's less confusing to have it all in one place - a reason why we don't double post. There's a re-direct from there to here also, so people will find it anyway. Good luck with the mask!
