Hey Ben, it comes to something when a Brit tells a Yank where to find a dive store in his own country but as no one else has chipped in here goes.

I've been to the States quite a few times and to Florida on some of those occasions and stayed in Orlando a few times. Last time in Orlando was 5 years ago. The only dive shop I found (and I looked a few times) was mainly a scuba store but they had some freediving/spearing gear and one guy who worked there went down to the keys spearing regularly. That was 5 years ago as i said so don't even know if the shop is still there but probably is as I visited it 5 years before that (10 years ago).

Can't remember the name of the place but it's easy to find. You head out for Orlando International airport coming from the International Drive/I4 junction on Sandlake Road. That runs into the 482. After a couple of miles, about half way to the airport, the store is on your left. Its right on the road side and well signed. Can't miss it. It's a pretty big store and had some good prices.

Hope that helps.
