dive spots in San Diego?

Hello guys. Does anyone have any recommendations on a diving spot in San Diego for a couple of divers who haven't done much diving in a while? Hubby and I are heading down there for a few days. We'll be staying at Mission Bay, for a point of reference.
 
We ended up at La Jolla, but visibility was less than five feet, so I didn't get to use my brand-new birthday suit. I mean, wetsuit that I got for my birthday
