Planning a trip to Northern Norway in a couple of weeks. Not really a dive trip, but I thought I'd bring a suit along and maybe dip in some water. We're also planning a stop at the Lofoten.

So a couple of questions:
-What would be THE spot around there for some recreational diving? Or is it just all good, the atlantic being right there...Just pick a spot and go in? How are the currents?

-How are dive centers in the Lofoten treating freedivers? Is it possible to go freediving with them or only scuba?
-I was planning on maybe spearfishing as well. Is some kind of licence needed for that? Perhaps one of the locals could clarify...

Waters, I assume, will be cold...
