Has anyone been out around Portsmouth and Weymouth spearfishing recently and is the water temperature bearable in a 5mm suit?

Diving around Portsmouth this time of year

I'm sure that the water would still be bearable in a 5mm suit but i live close to the seafront in Portsmouth and when i walked along there on Sunday the sea looked such a dark brown colour that i actually felt like i could have walked on it, let alone swim in it!
If you’re going to dive Portland Harbour then be very careful as the Harbour Master has got the right hump with most Spearo’s these days.
Ignorance is no excuse as he’ll have you out the water before you can say snorkel, you have been warned.
Other than that Weymouth Bay (straight in off the sands) is a good winter night dive spot. only a little tide and very shallow, nice and safe with the lights of the town behind you, even i can't get lost out from there.

Don't worry I was in by Portland Oceaneering between the new breakwaters and the Mulberrys. Never had a problem diving there before...
