Diving Dogs Are Good Catch for Photographer | Raw File | Wired.com

My dacshund has a problem with keeping his mouthfil. Air escapes from his flappy mouth and I can´t get him to go over 40m. Any ideas? His my only dive buddy so really would like to resolve this issue.

Diving Dog! So funny! Can you believe the dog do diving?Thank you for you sharing !

Good photo! My Golden/Irish mix dogs would dive in a pool after fetch sticks. Cinnamon (redish one) was especially good at it. Only problem was Butterscotch (yellow one) would go berserk if we were horsing around and try to "rescue" us & then chastize us once out of the water with gentle nips. Miss those girls.

28 years ogo (rescued both pups)--Butterscotch hit on country road early AM when she dashed out door. Cinamon disappeared 6 months later but had a broken heart and was never the same. Just went into the woods and didn't come home. Always put our all into the animals we bring into the family and still stings. But I like bringing out the good old memories every once and awhile. They're off chasing seagulls and not listening to me anymore--never did anyway at the beach. :inlove Now we're grand-dog sitters at the kids convenience. Our own black lab Cinderella (another rescued dog) is getting old and thinks she belongs inside ALL the time. I think we spoil the old lady. Only thing she dives for are goldfish in the pond--and they are VERY safe. :friday

Wow! Those are some amazing diving dogs! I can't believe they can dive so deep! My dog loves to play in the pool, but there is no way I could get him to go underwater.
