Diving in dreams

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Last night I was dreaming about diving to a great depth, then climbing a rope to the surface, like free immersion. It was a very long way to the surface, and the last few metres were very difficult, I really had to push myself. Then I was on the surface, very pleased with myself for having done it. Then I woke up, and I was so out of breath! I must have been holding my breath for a long time! rofl

Most times when I hold my breath in dreams, it is not for very long. That is the only time I have done that.

Naiad, next time you will be allowed to sleep only with a safety! ;)

Perhabs a little off-topic, but I also like to dream when I'm freediving.

Recently in the Mediteranian in Spain I discoverd my love for the sandy bottom. I like to take a gulp of air, duckdive and fall slowly to the bottom being arround 10m. At the bottom I just lay on my belley, have my eyes closed and let the ocean flood my mind, surrender and sleep for a moment. Obviously these moments are not very long, but still very nice to see how far you can get falling asleep under water. Anyway I like the sands.

Sometimes I lay down on my back and look up to the fish, and after the peace sinks in blow some bubble rings that are nice to view and follow to the surface.

Let's see what tonights dream will give me...

ZZZzzz,

Kars

Sometimes when i dream, i feel my heart rate slow down and then i will start to hold my breath. This will always wakes
me when this happens, but i wake up and start to breath heavily and my heart rate is through the roof. strange eh

Well at least you havn't got sleep apnea, or at least you are woken up if you hold your breath...

I miss diving already.

I miss diving already.
Me 2.

I had a dream last night - we were on a freediving trip, living in a village at the sea (white houses). Diving in a big bay, good vis, saw a lot of fishes. Tuna like fishes with blue fins - a lot in groups, then other kind of fishes (non existing types also :)).
Then later there was shots and explosions , as the gunballs hit the surface of the water (seen all this from under the sea). So rather we came out of the water..

Then the stage changed into a little pool, where a pool competition was happening.. The pool was in a round glass house, me and other freedivers I know were only watching the static in the building. Real beginers were fighting for seconds.. Saw a guy passed 4, passed 5, .. I thought it would be a BO - and it was. The guy, who usually watching the swimmers at the pool, helped him - not the safety (strange :D). Also then came some friends (freedivers), knocking at the glass door of the pool (to the comp.?).

In short - I miss diving. :)

In short :) That's great dream you've got there. But why the shots and explosions?
I've been feeling rather down and so my dreams are mainly weird. No diving unfortunatly, and with the weather like it as the the pool closed down i've got no diving in real life either :(
It's beginning to be winter damn it!

I was thinking about the shots also.

May be I'm worried about the Sea, worried about the too much garbage, chemicals, waste put into the water, killing the sea life, and that manifested like this war scene.. The living sea was represented as the lot of fishes swimming along.
Maybe.

(Hope it is not future seeing dream.)

I thought, this winter we should visit the thermal spring in Slovakia, near the border.. Only about 30m deep, but I was at the sea only once this year, and it is not enough.

Luckily the pool sessions are available for me at least.

I have a lot of dreams about diving, mostly about freediving. In those dreams I usually find out I can hold my breath forever if I want to, very pleasant indeed. In my last dream tho, I were part of a Comex closed bell dive to 600 msw, too bad it was just a dream... :)

In the last three nights i've blacked out in a swimming pool, swam a 100m lap underwater and last night Pipin Ferreras drowned trying to beat a world record...
not so great really!
