hi all,

im from australia and have just finished my final high school exams. i will be spending a year in ireland as a gap student working at a college in dublin.
since i will have the exact holidays as the students i will have a rather long holiday in july till august and september (summer there)

my mate and i are thinking about diving the meditarannean but we have absolutely no idea how to go about doing so. we have never been to europe let alone diving there. anyhow just looking for some suggestions, guidelines, info or just general comments about it. here is a few things i have in mind to find out:
1) Destinations (Nice, Marseille, Sicily, Sardinia, Greece etc?)
2) Expenses/ budget
3) Transport & accesibility
4) Any difficulties i should be aware of
5) Water temperature & depth
6) If i can buy gear there (i dont wanna carrry my huge fins everywhere i go)
7) Websites that will be helpful

Thanks in advance

kenny
