Thanks @arno_poppelaars for sharing these amazing photos. “I recently had the chance to test the XTAR D26 2800 while diving in the Santa Maria Caves, Comino, Malta — and the caves were the perfect environment to see what this light can do.

The 2800lm output and tight, focused beam really stood out underwater. The concentrated beam makes it easy to look into cracks, caves and darker areas, while also making underwater communication with your buddy or students effective.

With around 1.5 hours of runtime at full power, I’d personally use it at a lower output for longer dives, or as a powerful backup light. For teaching and recreational diving, I could definitely see this being a very useful tool.

After the first dives, I’m impressed with how well the D26 2800 performs in real underwater conditions. Looking forward to putting more dives on it and seeing how it holds up over time.”
