i know some songs that remind me of diving. i'll start the list and you people can add to it and see how many songs we can list. here are my first ones for now:
Deep as you Go-artist unknown-found on a cd called "modern rock" some of the words are: "deep as you go i'll follow-deep as the water goes-the world above is hollow and dry-you and i go down-somehow i need to love you more than i need to breathe-leave the the world alone on the land-i will follow down (beautiful isn't it)
Fountains of Wayne has a song called "Sink to the Bottom"
it goes "i wanna sink to the bottom with you. the ocean is big and blue." it repeats it a lot.
eiffel 65 has a song that goes " deep down dadadadfadadadada" but a better song of theirs goes
'i've been to the edge" in a repeated techno-dance fashion
and is related to freediving and everything else that brings thrills and/or risks.
steven curtis chapman in one song says "i'm diving in i'm goin deep in over my head i wanna be" although he is talking about being baptized, we can relate it to diving also (i'm too spiritual sometimes)
i think margaret becker sings "deep calling deep" which is about basically diving into god's grace and your soul. it is a magnificent song. if i come across more i may post them also but now its everyone else's turn.

Echoes (Pink Floyd) is the song that plays in mind so often when I'm under there.

Overhead the albatross hangs motionless upon the air
And deep beneath the rolling waves
In labyrinths of coral caves
The echo of a distant tide
Comes willowing across the sand
And everything is green and submarine.

And no-one called us to the land
And no-one knows the wheres or whys
But something stirs and something tries
And starts to climb towards the light...

Okay - well - beside the absolutely kick-ass version of under pressure Jon posted (I'm in love with the bass player) - this is probably my fav.

And no least no last:
Edoardo Vianello, 1962.
Name of the song is "Con le pinne, fucile ed occhiali" ("With fins, speargun and goggles")

Priceless!!

What, Vianello's?

The early 60's videoclip looks so "early 60's" that one could think it's a made up "early 60's" fake.

But...it's a true genuine original early 60's! :)

I'm sure you follow my reasoning...

As long as were talking about diving songs from the 60's we have to include this:

Not to mention the movie has the coolest strategic bomber ever in it - the Avro Vulcan!!

It also had the best underwater fight scene in movie history!

And if Fondueset can relate the Pixies to diving I can relate this:
