Hello guys !

i really like diving, i love it, and i want to get more into it, so i decided to buy a diving watch, i found a lot on the internet but many are very expensive. I know suunto and aeris and many more, i have some infos about diving watches.
But i found a cheap one on amazone, but i don't know if it's good or not.

i would really appreciate your help !
here is the link of the watch (Pyle Sports Snorkeling Master Watch):

Thank you!

PS: i posted this thread by mistake on the wrong thread topic.

I too an after a cheap functional watch and after looking at the manual it seems pretty good. What's more the software bears a strikingly similar resemblance to other more expensive watches. However they look much more stylish.

I know I'm a little late on the response here, but I got that exact computer last month. I really wanted it to be sufficient, even heard it uses the same internals as the Omer (looks the same, and sadly also has no surface timer). It worked ok in the pool, but when I would go past 20ft it got very strange and incorrect readings. I'd go down 30, it'd say I was down 87, ect. I finally broke down and and returned it as defective got an Aeris, which has been flawless.

Thanks for the update and quite disappointing. The amazon reviews are glowing and normally I'd give it a go returning it if there were problems. Trouble is that the price has shot up.

It's a shame the alternatives are so expensive. I may just find a cheap Timex or similar with multiple countdowns.

I used a $30 timex ironman for years, it still runs. If you don't care about depth, the value can't be beat. Btw- Leisurepro and Amazon still have the Pyle watch for $91 in a different color. It might work for you, though I do wonder if the reviews reflect tge experiences of snorkelers who don't typically go past 20ft.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I'm after something with multiple countdowns. One for the breath up and one for a minimum underwater time. I don't need the depth facility at the moment because my dive buoy rope is marked out in meters.

I'm looking at the Casio W756 series which should suit my needs.
