I've been teaching scuba for 10 years. It's gotten to the point where it's just a case of slap a tank on and "oh Gee! What a lovely cleaner wrasse!" :t.
And then there's the colleagues who think that more gear makes you more macho (tech divers) and brag about the nitrogen "Dings" they get.
At first I thought this freediving was just a bit of going up and down a line (which I still think it is), but hell! surprising how addictive it gets! What peace and relaxation! Then there's (controlled) exhale diving so I don't have to lug weights around to go spearfishing or take pictures in shallow water. And those cleaner wrasse suddenly seem more lovely when they're cleaning your face, not freaking out from noisy bubbles.
I'm sold!
