Do OMER blades fit into BEUCHAT footpockets???

Does anone know if you can combine OMER and Beuchat fins?

My girlfriend owns the Omer Millenium Ice and i have got the Beuchat Mundial Competition Pro.

I want to try softer blades and have taken a closer look at the two blades which look very similar...

Anyone ever tried to change blades/foot pockets?

No, they don't. Different screw holes positions. You can glue them in, though.

Are the Omer blades also screwed?
I thought from a quick look that you could take them easily out by removing the two clamps?

of course you would have to drill holes to fix the omerblade into the beuchat footpocket.

any good idea where i could get cheap new(softer) blades for my beuchats?

thank you for your efforts. but with 48€ for 2 blades i guess it will be better to buy a new pair of fins which are just 69€.

Shark, I can recommend investing in some fibreglass fins - or even Carbon or Carbon/Kevlar The difference is quite impressive. :)

Hey Sanso !

(We know each other, at least if you remember you taught my one -on- one AIDA ** course, July 25th-27th, Racha Noi wrecks, Simon).

I really want to buy these special fins, unfortunately i didnt try them when i was with you in phuket.
So i will come back to try them.

My initial thought was , after training in 16°C water for two hours, that i want to use softer fins, as my really hard one hurt my ankle in the cold water.
My girlfriend owns the omer ice fins with a size 38 footpocket, which was not really that comfortable too.
So i thought , after taking a closer look and discovering that the blades are really similar in size an shape, maybee you could change them easily.

By this i would have had a nice and very cheap solution for training with soft fins.

But i didn't want to try this instantly as i would have had to drill holes in the OMER blades and i thought maybee someone else already tried this.
(Before destroying my girlfriends blades ;) )

thats the whole story.
But now i have to wait until i have the money to upgrade to special fins.

Until then i will train hard to go through all the courses :)

I think i will be back in March, hopefully you will be in Phuket at that time .
