One from old files, near the Twilight Zone . This guy's John Murphy, the top Irish spearfisher from the mid 70s. This picture was taken at the Irish Open, Valentia Island (Co. Kerry), August 1976. We dove from the same boat. He won the meet, I finished 3rd. That's a 3 kg pollack in his hands.

I wonder if someone know where to find him...

PS: check the sideburns from the guy in background!!! Is he Irish or what? And the bell-bottomed jeans?!

Is he the same John Murphy who lived (maybe still there) in New-England, USA, and is very good with striped bass?

No. This John Murphy's from Dublin. Come to think of it, there also may be thousands of John Murphies from Dublin in New England-USA too

I was confused, because the John Murphy I was talking about was the 2003 U.S. National champion... but started spearfishing in 1986!

It looks like it's a winner name
