Does anyone have a 90cm Seac gun handy? I need help pronto...

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Sure I know how to take them apart mate, but to be honest I have rarely had the need!
I have one air gun, a Mares 110 that is over 20 years old, has never been opened & still works fine!

Tiny update. The shop got back to me and they have checked with Sigalsub who produces the freeshafts, I am going with. (I would have gone with Salvi Torsion 2, if they were ready-made. They aren't but supposedly Salvi is considering it for the future).
All the Sigal "nude" spears have the hole for the mono 18cm behind the tip. The two spears I was considering were 94cm and 108 with the holes respectively 76cm and 87cm from the tail end. As the Seac 90cm gun will have app. 79-82cm of spear inside it, it was very good that I did not order the shorter spear as the hole for the mono would have been somewhere inside the muzzle.
I am not too worried about getting a spear which is around 10cm longer than the stock spear. I am going with 6.75mm instead of the stock 8mm, so the spear will still be quite a bit lighter toverall, but the balance of the gun might be a tad nose heavy. I don't think it will be much though but time will tell.

Thanks again and as mentioned, once I have it all together and have an impression of the shop I am getting this from (plus some other bits and pieces) I'll share a link. So far, they have been great.

David

You can always lop the tail off a "bare tail" shaft and taper it again if the spear proves to be too long.

Good point Pete - especially since the opposite is not really an option
As mentioned, I am not afraid of doing the mod myself. It seems easy enough with just an angle grinder. Just that, geographically and spearing wise, I lead a weird life. I am in China, the spears will be shipped to Denmark from where a friend will bring them to Thailand. I'll spear either there or the Philippines on my next vacation in Feb. So, the problem is I can only spear on vacations and since I live in a country were having a speargun is illegal, I can't do the mods here, even though I actually have the time now. So, I am trying to get as much as I can ready-made, so I don't have to spend my vacation in a workshop.
Oh, it has also turned out that the freeshaft, "nude" spears are cheaper than regular ones. They should be, less work goes into making them but nice to see that the manufacturers do not take advantage of it being such a niche product.

I like that! I think that quote should head the spearing part of this forum - just for all the people who think there are severe maintenance issues with airguns...;-)

Just wanted to get back to this thread and say that for my Seac 90, I got two 6.75mm X 105cm predrilled freeshafts from STC/Sigalsub. I think these spears always have the pre-drilled hole for the front-tied mono at about 18cm from the tip. For a Seac 90 gun, 82 cm of the spear is inside the barrel when loaded, so a 105cm is the shortest spear of this brand that will work.
