Spiros at Oceanos wetsuits.
If anyone can help
that would be great.
Been trying to contact him but with no replies to my mails.
I order a suit on march 7th and havn't seen it yet.
anyone live in greece or have a phone number.

He might be having net /email troubles or something.
Normally his emailing is very quick.
thanks

Thats strange I can only say good things about Spiros...shoot'em another email if no luck within a couple of days send me a PM and I'll get a hold of him for you...I know he was quite backed up with a flurry of orders so if anything hope that serves as a bit of reassurance...Don't worry it'll get there:friday

Not really worried at this stage, just getting anxious. The water is warming up, and the fish I want will be losing there fat levels. They are prime for sashimi at the moment.

Mr Okamoto the store is oceanos. Cheap suits. havn't tried one yet though. Hopefully soon.

keep me posted those look great and price has been my biggest reason 4 not buying 1... cause im a student and have to pay 4 a lot so will you pm if they turned out ok or good and which one did u buy?

Spiros is normally very quick - I received a reply within 5 minutes of my purchase, and the custom made suit in three and half days. The typical delivery is around two - three weeks, but it can be well the case that Spiros is quite busy in this time - everyone wants a new suit before the summer season begins. I would not try harassing him by more emails or by phone yet - let him little bit time. At most other companies you would need to wait up to several months for a tailor made wet suit. Enter "spiros" or "diveskin" into the search box - you will find many threads, all rather positive about Spiros.

It's possible that he is on holiday, even Spiros needs time off from time to time

Turns out that he has supply problems at the moment due to a strike in greece.
And he didn't get the shippment that he was waiting for. (still not for a few weeks)
He was all very sorry and everything. The pattern wasn't really a big issue for me, so I changed the material to stuff he had in stock. Doing that he said he could have it finished tomorrow, and shipped to me hopefully by the end of the month.

Will be really grateful to get by then.

im about to purchase a custom suit from Spiros, im just wondering what if you can get open cell interior? it says slickskin on the sight and that it is the same as open cell... just wondering what the material is on the interior of the suits. i have a thread under goods wanted discussing this too, just trying to find an answer quickly.

Yes, he calls open cell slickskin. Make sure you get someone to measure you very accurately before ordering. if in doubt take an inch off (except around the neck) there is plenty of stretch in those suits

Yes, he calls open cell slickskin.

Not quite, I think. Slick is not open cell. It makes little difference in terms of warmth on a suit, but it is different.
Open cell is cut and the little bubbles inside the neopren are visible. Slick is kinda finished so that there is a even surface, NO bubbles visible.
But the difference is not very big.

Even more, I think there are more advantages to slick than disadvantages but that is my personal opinion. Slick is easier to put on...

Yes, open cell is not slickskin. What Pastor was saying though was that Spiros means open cell when he says slickskin.

As I said before, I have one of his suits and its definitely open cell. Would you like photographic evidence?

Reactions: Pastor
Well I got my suit at last it's great, fits like a dream.
Just wish he had email earlier and said something about his supply
problem. Anyway it fits like a dream no problem. Slips on with water and conditioner
in like 5 seconds, never thought that possible.

When I ordered the suit on the web site it said slickskin, But in spiros
confirmation email he refered to it as opencell.

It was an offer, not an attack ;)

and a kind one, just didnt want you thinking i was a doubting thomas... (see what i did there? :D) my mom was raised in Auckland so its against my nature to question a New Zealander, thanks for your replies here and on my thread.

Then I misunderstood Pastor. It just sounded like he meant that it is the same thing...

I do, too. :D And I just ordered 3 more for friends of mine. Doesn't sound like an unsatisfied customer.
When I first bought my suit I thought it actually was the same thing. So I I wanted open cell then, just didn't ask for it.. But now I am more happy with the slick inside. I would order my next suit with slick again!

Would you like photographic evidence?
Not as a proof, I believe you anyway, but I'd like to see the suit if you don't mind.
I will post a picture of us 4 in Diveskin suits, too, as soon as they arrive.

Cheers
Gunnar
