This summer I'll be travelling to the Dominican Republic near Bayahibe. As I did find some information about what's going on around there through a scubadive-site (SCUBAFUN Bayahibe, Dominican Republic), I'm also interested if people already went freediving around there and if so, maybe know some interesting freediving-spots to visit.

I will be bringing an underwater-photo-camera with me, so afterwards I can show some underwater stuff I've seen.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply Adrian, ofcourse I already did my research in here, but not in the spearfishing section :head And I also found some underwater footage on Google Video of the place I'll be visiting, but I did not really find specific freediving Info.

Maybe that's because in that area they are not so keen on freediving anymore? Because when searching the net for freediving and Bayahibe I stumbled onto the fact that this was the place where Audrey had her accident...

Never the less, after seeing some underwater footage, it all looks very promising and I'm looking forward to it !

hey this is alex from the DR, i know where you could go freediving here but first ill need to know what kind of dive you like, if out in the blue or in the shallow. let me know

I'd be interested in both, depending on what the options (safety, buoys, etc.) are and if its far from Bayahibe, how it's arranged with transport.

Maybe you can contact me through PM?

Thanks in advance
