very good vid that well done thanks for putting it together and posting it its a great inspiration to all .wish I had the knollage and time to do the same maybe over the winter I will try but it wont be nowhere near as good as yours .keep them coming ta

Haven't posted in a long time now, I have been busy moving house...
Had a working from day on Friday and was convinced I would find some visibility somewhere, so I headed off for Lulworth and had no joy there, then sandsfoot again crap visibility. Went to a spot inside the harbour and the vis looked spot on. As always it looks better above than in, but I did have 2-3 which is very good for stalking the fish (IMO)! After 30 mins I had the bass on the stringer, well chuffed. Then let a smaller mullet swim by, had a glancing shot at a 3lb mullet but missed. So I decided to go for some scallops came home with 12, on the way back in managed to bag this flounder too which was an added bonus too all in all a very enjoyable dive. So after 6 weeks out of the water, a very good return for me!
The bass weighed just shy of 5 lbs.

Got desperate with all this terrible weather we've been having. Decided to get in portland harbour; for a swim if anything. Vis was rubbish 1-2 meters in most places, but had up to 4 meters after swimming for an hour towards the N entrance.
Was hoping for one of these jumbo torpedo mullet I keep seeing, but no. Saw 3 average sized mullet, of which I nailed one. Had my 90cm, thus could only see a max of 2ft in front of my spear; luckily the small shoal of mullet swam inches from my tip, hence the one I nailed was well and truly stoned with a head shot and threaded well up the line.
Had a nice 4 hour swim and feel a lot better for getting in.

welldone on the mully mate. still rough as :vangry. im hoping i can shake it off so i can get back in.

so i popped out for a couple of hours earlier for a quick summer suit dip at a local spot not expecting to see a lot........vis (for Gaz) was fishable and not too bad for the spot and i jumped in. saw a few mullet but no sign of any bass. stuck it out for about 20 mins (its a smallish spot) then decided to call it a day as the light was starting to fade. popped myself onto a rock and unloaded the gun when something caught the corner of my eye...............over in the shallows about 30 feet away i could see what i thought was 2 large mullet with fins sticking up out of the water so i reloaded and started to stealth my way over............20 feet....still nothing.......15 feet....still nothing.......10 feet......'why aren't they breaking for open water?' i thought - gun angled slightly outward. 5 feet then suddenly this submarine just came into focus. i seemed to have forever to line it up. i don't usually take mullet but this was a beaut - really healthy looking,shiny and solid. suddenly all i could think about was how much i'd love to get my hands on that sweet, sweet orca.
i got out straight after and asked a couple of danglers if they had any scales.....sadly the didn't but then a foreign chap came over and offered me his luggage scale! it tipped the scale to a smidge over 7 and a half pounds!!
then i really took the p*ss and asked him to take a picture on his phone and mms it to me........which luckily he was more than happy to do - top chap!!!
sorry about the poor photo editing but i can't have podge all over my spot.

I feel a whole lot better about not having taken proper pictures of my summer mullet now. I was feeling a bit gutted that I hadn't noticed the mullet competition and was wondering whether any of my mullet could have been a winner but now that's been clearly settled rofl
