Double Dip - UK Depth Championships

Yes indeed! This was a great comp . Very professionally organized and the safety were outstanding (counter ballast system, experienced safety divers and scubadivers at the bottom for the deep dives). They also have a huge platform with 4 warmup lines and plenty of space for stretching and dry warmup.

Concerning the visibility, I think it was surprisingly good. It's difficult to estimate in meters, but much brighter in the deep than I expected. No problems to see the scuba divers some meters away at depth.

I think the depth limit is 76 meters (so a good challenge for most divers), but there were many dives between 30 and 40 meters, so this is also a very good comp for newbies and the more inexperienced.

Last, but not least, very friendly people and a relaxed atmosphere with lots of fun (British sense of humor) which I really enjoyed. And very rare in a freedive competition - quite a few girls took part. So I definitely recommend this competition for most of the divers out there. Join the fun next year!
