Dear all,
For those interested, the DRUMS security module will be made available as of December. The customized module basically consists of: electronic life-line counter (current depth, max. depth, elapsed time, descent time and speed) with capability of both metric and imperial measuring; heavy-duty and ergonomically designed reel with clutch brake lever; high-tensile life-line and wrist-cuff/clip system; stead-fast and adjustable boat mounting. The unit is accurate to within 1m over 100m depth.
Information on cost, specs, mode of operation, maintenance and answers to FAQs will be made available as of October/November, at the following site: www.amphibios.info
Please note that the rig on its own has purposely been made incompatible for competition type formats or variable-ballast diving. We do have a model available for this type of activity but, at this stage, we wish to confer with others as to the possible implications and ramifications of making this unit widely available. If you have an informed and vested interest in the future direction of the sport we suggest you make your opinions and concerns felt openly and transparently, on this forum; all suggestions will be seriously considered.
Kind regards
S. Murat
