Hello,
Please forgive me if this has already been asked, but has anyone gotten into trouble whilst practicing apnea out of water? Are there any safety issues with dry breath-hold practicing?

I was practicing last night but ended up feeling really unwell for an extended period of time (dizzy, nauseous, heart thumping) and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if it was just coincidence.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experience...

Best,
Maytag

Feeling unwell might be something to do with overtraining. Someone might know more about this than me.

Hi , It's fairly safe, Just keep clear of anything that you could knock your head on should you LMC or worst BO.

I've felt unwell sometimes, It could be stress related.I tend to get really worked up if I'm trying to hard or like to make a target.
Then it's generally down hill from there.

Thanks for your helpful replies. Lucia, I just found your earlier posts/threads this AM before checking back. Sorry for the redundant post!

I tried going through the O2 Table posted elsewhere here and ran into the same kinds of problems before doing a 3m hold, so I terminated table training prematurely. I am grateful for your replies as well as those of Jon's. Having one's mind at ease has got to help...

Best, Maytag
