Dry apnea makes majority of my training.
I focus mainly on static holds and apnea walk or mix of both. Now, I perform them all without a nose-clip. As I started to hit bigger numbers in both I started to questioning my performance. Do I involuntarily breath -in making all the effort easier? I decided to wear a nose-clip for few attempts and they were far from the best.
I realize of course nose-clip on my nose is something I'm not used to so it might be a reason for worse performance. Especially as it causes lack of concentration and relaxation.
Do you guys use nose-clips during all your dry training? Do you think you can effectively prevent "cheating" without one?
I've noticed that while nose-clip prevents from involuntary inhale it stops from exhaling as well, which sometimes comes "handy" during struggle phase.
I appreciate any thoughts on topic.
