I thought the article “Dynamic Apnea Safety Rules” by Aharon & MT Solomons was excellent and I learned a lot of useful info. There is one thing I question though. That is the dynamic walking after doing a dry static for 30 seconds. Maybe I just don’t understand it, but I don’t see the logic in doing it after a static unless you are training for a sled. I see a lot of people saying this, but didn’t this come from Pipin when training for no-limits?

There is no dive I can see, besides sled rides, that not moving from the beginning of the breathhold would simulate. If anything, maybe a static after the first 1/3 of the walk to simulate the free fall in constant ballast.

Don’t mean to offend anyone; just an issue I have thought about for a while and then the article reminded me of it again.

Not sure if this is the reason, but I know if I start to do a static, after the first 30 seconds my heart rate has dropped dramatically
