Anyone ever done a dynamic in an Endless Swimming Pool? Just trying to think of ways to get in the water more often.

A thread on endless pools...

Seems dangerous to me. Blackout and the pool puts your body including your head into the back.

It would only be safe with a buddy.

I agree that there's no fun in it. It depends how good/bad the local pool training facilities are...

I agree with all worries mentioned above about blacking out and really a buddy would no question have to be right there for you in case of a black out. But I think Dynamic in an endless pool would be an awesome way to work on stroke and streamline technique. Stroke tempo would also benefit from not having to be interrupted by turning.

one of the real beauties of an endless pool is the coach can sit right next to you and see what you may be doing wrong and how to improve.

Does that mean the coach is lazy? Whats wrong with the coach walking beside the pool and doing the same?
I lilke the idea but to me it wouldn't feel right. If i'm gonna swim i prefer the ocean. Water temp is like 25 degrees here and the sea has better things to show me than what the bottom of the pool ever could. But maybe its just me.

Did I say doing wrong ??? I mean how to do it better :)

No your coach isnt lazy its just he has to watch where he is walking (swimming) at the same time. By being seated next to you he can observe 100% of the time. And perhaps reach out and help corrrect.
