Sorry guys.. Poll reinvented with a wider spectrum (thanks Kars ;) )

Kars said:
Sands I think this poll would be better if you set distance domains like:

1- 24m
25-49m
50-74m

etc.
Oh, also include the 200m+, because I know someone who has done that.
It's also for those jokers who like the spoil the poll through hacking it and post 500 votes for the 200m + thing, Everyone can easily see and recognise, and mediate the error put in by the cracker. (Hacker is someone that breaks in, but does not do any damage appart form letting know the system isn't safe)

Delete this one, and start a new one please.

My PB is 111m.

Kars.

done! thanks for that. also the votes on the poll are by user, particularly to avoid 500 people posting that they can do 200m ;) we don't need another Bubble Ring Saga rofl

with your swimming training it's only going to get better x

Around 87 m for me so far :head
hope to do 100 soon :inlove
I managed to do 25m in 4 strokes at the last training, but I was just doing 50 m series and no max, so I should improve next time I do a max .... hopefully

I did 5 laps in a 25 yard pool- 5 laps = 125 yards. 125 yards ~(roughly) = 114M.

I hardly dare to admit it, but my PB is about 35m for DNF.
I have done over 40m on the surface, holding my breath throughout, but this isn't proper DNF.
With fins I have done about 44m.

My best is 50m but havn,t been able to try a max in a while as no buddy present. would hope it would be better as have been swimming well lately
Regards Feargus

I did 2 months of solid no-fins training and in that period put my PB up by about 25m. That was about a year ago and since then it's dropped quite a bit.

Still my favourite pool discipline though :inlove

I think I did 50 m as a kid - I used to train a lot then and breaststroke was my strongest style. Now I never do the breaststroke leg work - my messed-up knees don't like it :crutch - and I hardly ever swim w\o fins. Maybe, just for the poll, I'll give it a try sometime soon.

I love dynamics no fin but I rarely have a buddy to watch over me so I usually do a 25m before I start swimming laps. I did 50 m a few times and felt I could have gone a little more. I never tried a max dynamic with a proper breath up and a neck weight though, I would love to see how further I can get. Neither have I tried with packing because I'm pretty buoyant with a normal inhale and no weights.

What is usually used for a neck weight? I was thinking of getting a hold of some ankle weights used for jogging.

I think the poll should be 'Dynamic Apnea without Fins: Personal Best', because as it stands it doesn't mention the no-fins part, and people will just enter their PB with fins.

Took you up on the suggestion, it'll be harder for people to make a mistake now.

Judging from the poll results, I am right in there with the bulk of other divers with my 60M.

Jim

:)

He certainly has more distance within him. The dive looked limited by CO2, and his style wasn't consistant in the number of strokes per length (though that isn't a rule).
The final breath seemed kinda funny, did he actually filled his lung with a lot of short strong inhales? What is the reason for that?

He isn't properly trained yet, and still needs to learn proper breathing techniques. :D when he does... step aside! rofl

Yeah, you're supposed to breath and then pack. Maybe he was in a hurry. :)
Would sure switch styles with him... If I had a style that is.

New PB yesterday! 45m DNF. It wasn't proper technique, because I was face down on the surface and used my arms only. This was because I had a buoyant suit on and no weights. Of course I didn't take a breath until I had finished! ;)

This beats all my previous dynamic PBs, including with fins.

Soon I will try with weights.
