dyneema and steel cable

Does anyone know what the difference is between using dyneema or stainless steel cable as a wishbone where is the advantage of Dyneema other than weight. is the accuracy compromised or is it easier to pull, I have to change my wishbones and I am debating which one to choose any help would be welcome.
I am currently using Dyneema but they are frayed and looks like they need replacement.

Dyneema is the way to go. Steel cable kinks and gets frayed and sticks little pieces of steel into your hands. Many years ago I used cable, but not anymore. I don't know anyone who still uses cable.

There are many different types of Spectra/Dyneema, but the 3 mm that I use outlasts the bands. I just made a new set of bands, and the wishbones looked so good that I reused them. I know I'll get another season out of them.

That's not pure dyneema/spectra... looks like it has a nylon outside (RA line?) also, make sure the spear notches/fins are smooth...

pure dyneema/spectra/PE has a soft slippery feel and looks like this:

This is an example of dyneema core but with a outer "shell" of other material

In your case, this shell was the one that frayed...

Try file and smooth off the foward shark fin on your shaft off a bit and take the edge off. I would bet your wishbone is fraying as you cock the gun and pull that band over the forward sharkfin to the back one. My son was having the same problem and that fixed it for him.
