Hi all.
I want to tie some dyneema wishbones to my guns. Is it OK to cut the threads off the rubbers were the metal wishbone would normally screw in and tie the dyneema from their.
Would cutting the rubber make them too short and cause accuracy problems.

Also do you need a bead inside the rubber or will the knot hold on its own.

Sorry if that's hard to make sense.

You could leave the threads on and just cut the wishbone and tie into the screw in cups. Rather than cut the band just hit the ring with a hammer to break it and then the inner bead can be popped out. No need for a bead on your dyneema just tie an overhand or figure of 8 knot in it and tie it off

You can by ready made Picasso Dynema wishbones from Subprof which screw onto your rubbers like your old articulated one.Just remember to file the spear notces down so you don't cut through the dynema.

Thanks for the advice guys.

I'm going to cut the thread off the rubber and tie a dynema wishbone and see how it goes.

Glowworm the rubbers are 20mm seatec which use a larger thread size, the Picasso wishbones wont fit.
