I recently(couple of weeks ago actually) made my 3rd or 4th dive for my NAUI certification. The dive went relatively well, though I did have to repeat some of the drills (one of them being to rescue my partner diver because I let go of him in that drill the first time). During this particular dive session, I went no more than 30 feet and probably made no more than three individual dives according to decompression tables (10 minutes or more at surface I believe between a dive to be classified as separate dives). After my last dive, as I came up, my ear began to feel weird. Not painful, just weird. Later as we were filling our dive logs, I felt my ear pop, and thought nothing of it. However, it then started popping at the slightest jaw or head movement. Much later, when I went to bed that night, it hurt to sleep on the side where the ear was popping excessively. If I rested on the other side, though, it was fine. After a few days, my ear no longer hurt and I could usually sleep on that side, but on random days afterward, it would start hurting again. Also, the excess popping never stopped. My ear now feels constantly full, and occasionally painful (not always, but sometimes). It often hurts press my ear also (again not always). This started immediately after that dive and has been going on for a few weeks now (some of the symptoms are better, some are worse, mainly my ear feeling full). Any idea what is going on? I don't think its water trapped behind my hear drum, because when I shake my head there is no sloshing. I don't have any hearing loss either, and my other ear hears the same as the ear that is bothering me.
