Hi guys. I've been getting a lot of ear problems lately. I'd be diving normally without any problems and then all of a sudden my right ear wont pop.
3 days ago the same thing happened and I kept forcing my ear to pop and it did but with consequences, my ear hurts like hell and I've probably bruised my ear or got some kind of infection.
I've had a few infections in the past 6 months and it's just frustrating but this time I know it's my fault, but the previous times I get infections for no apparent reason.
Normally when I get ear infections I'd feel like my ear is blocked with water (I didnt force equalization).
I've had 2 tips from pro divers...
1. Wear 2 hoods to keep my head warmer so the sinuses dont close up causing my ears to not equalize
2. Cut a hole in my hood near my hears so no air is trapped between my ear and hood.
I've also been told I might not be equalizing properly... but how can I not equalize properly?
Any advice or tips would be appreciated.
