Some of my Mediterranean friends have been excited about Elios's new red suit - I cant find it on their web site?
Are there any other manufacturers selling red camo?

OOooo looks nice but how much?
found it at 170 euro + shipping for the whole (jacket and trousers are NOT sold separately). I like the camo protection of forearms and legs. Looks nice indeed

Look better than nice! Thanks for the info but still need to see the elios?

where's pastor when you need him

I was about to post the same where's Pastor?
However you're kind of spot on, Foxy: the suit is specifically designed for hunting eels rofl
...
...
PS(uh, we're joking about gays: feels like being on Medfish! :naughty)

On the serious side I (and my gay buddies as well) wouldn't use a red suit for hunting in shallow water.
The chromatic concept that lies under it is: maximum visibility when on surface (for safety purpose), minimum visibility at depth (red colour disappears in deep water, giving a dark, shadowy effect). But for hunting 0-10 meters I think that black or "realistic" reef camo is still much better.

Ucks sake! One mention of gay and I get dragged into it rofl

Has anyone ever tried removing the red component from a red object using photoshop? Or even a pink object? Very surprising results

I did try to find the pictures earlier but I found them in a sent email in the end. The top picture is the original with the red still in and the bottom with the red taken out. Fish don't see red light remember

Mart, go here and click on the yamamoto 45 camo link:

Spear fishing

Don't see the point myself, if the red turns grey at depth then why not just use grey? On one of my guns the label is bright red, deepest I've taken it was 10m and I made a point of looking at it and it was still bright red....

One advantage is that fish can't see red so they see something that blends into the background but to you and I red stands out like a sore thumb. Drop a red and a brown camo gun in the kelp and which one are you going to see first? Or your mate in his bright red suit? Bring it on I say

So get a kelp brown one then, not bright red

Not convinced by fish can't see red either, seem to find red fishing lures pretty well.

Sceptic, moi!?

I'm sure they'd work, but not so sure they'd work any different to a more traditional colour pattern, though the safety aspect is fair, though much of the point of them was the red light disappearing underwater eh...

Well to start with I never suggested I was ever going to buy it? Secondly I dont do gay!
However I still want to see the elios?

You've seen this of the material eh:

If you email them I'm sure they'll send you some pics, they did of the grey one when I was looking.
