I need some advice on materials/coatings.

My profile: I hunt reef fish and lobster dive in California and rarely go past 30-40 feet deep, so I'm most concerned with a durable exterior and flexibility, least concerned with compression and speed in the water.

I want a medium density 7mm Neoprene with an outside liner but I don't want to lube up so I'm curious if anyone has experience with Elios' SUPER STRETCH inner lining.

I hear it's great to put on but I wonder how much warmth I lose vs open cell...

Generally speaking, I think that if you need a 5mm (and especially if you need a 7mm) apnea / spearfishing suit, it is because the water is cold enough that you don't want it next to your skin.

If that's the case, I think you want to stick with an open-cell interior which will require lube to get into, but will provide much more thermal protection.

Just my $0.02
