ELIOSUB wetsuits?

alright - so its time for me to stop using surfing wetsuits and invest in a good freedive wetsuit for hunting...i noticed a while back these suits were mentioned and they only cost 150??? custom??? how can this be? i noticed in the KK '03 pics one of you guys in wearing them, so are they worth it? how long is the turnaround on one of them? i dont have too much money to spend so an OMER or picasso suit is out of the question - thanks guys

I love my Elios. It was about $250 w/ s/h. It's the first skin inside and out suit I've owned. As our very own Sultan suggested, invest in a tube of glue. Thank God they repair easily. For what I put it through it did really well. If you're going to be diving around alot of rocks or making shore entries over rocks go for a nylon outside opencell inside. Elios was great to work w/ and very helpful. Hopefully I'll get a 5mm for this winter. Let me know if I can be of anymore help.

jay - thanks for your reply. the reason im looking at these is the cheap price tag, since unfortunately ive found that $ doesnt grow on trees (cruel world)...i do mostly shore diving, so my suits go through a lot - would the nylon hold up or should i just save up for a tougher suit?
 
For going off the beach or a boat for that matter, you're going to need a nylon exterior. You'd think that just tipping over the rail would be easy on a suit, but you'd be real surprised at the grief you can put a piece of gear through just putting it on. :blackeye

Take a gander at the DB store for dakine deals on Picasso Termic suits, in the apnea suit section. Open cell inside with Termic coating if you cough up a couple bones extra and nylon outside. Get's no easier. That and check the Picasso site for deals... I remember Roger was having a "North Coast Hunter special".
