That story was a perfect description of what most competitive freedivers go through (besides Herbert) before, during and after the competitions. You are a true athlete, to be able to perform under the conditions that you did and to be able to handle the stress that would crush most large men like a bug, was a testament to your abilities. You, as I told you before and will always think, are my HERO:inlove

Great piece on Cyprus! In the end, it's all about the people who go and share the experience of throwing themselves headlong into apnea, street lamps (Bill's a funny guy!), and the arms of everyone they meet.
