I am traveling to Egypt for a week, I am planning to also stop in Dahab either Sept 25-26 or Sept 30-01. I would like to take some basic training (breathing/equalization techniques, I still can not do Frenzel, and open water diving) Can you recommend any instructors?

I found these websites offering courses;

freedivedahab.com
wefreedive.com
desert-divers.com

I would prefer group courses, but not sure if I will be able to find it because of my limited number of days there.

Thanks
Ed

In Freedivedahab there are Lotta and Linda, both very professional. If you really want to learn freediving, they are good.
They seems to have an AIDA**/*** course in the end of september.

But also in those other 2 places there must be good instructor for basic things, I'm almost sure, though I don't know them.

BTW
Dahab is a MUST place to visit for a diver or freediver, if there nearby, e.g. in Sharm el Sheikh.
Really relaxing place for an Egyptian town.

September is a hot month there, could be still 35 Celsius when hottest and water is about 25 Celcius. So 5 mm is too thick, if it's taylor made (Elios). 2-3 mm would be better. Cheap basic wet suit is enough. Or even without a suit, but sunburn skin might be a risk :) . If you want, take that 5 mm with you anyway, too, for night dives etc..
In winter time Nov-March 3-5 mm Elios is enough, or 5-6 mm if nylon inside. It depends on person, too. I'm talking now with Central and North European scale...
