Welcome to Deeperblue :) I hope you enjoy your stay. Be sure to ask questions!

Welcome Tony.

There are several UK based threads that run strong on DB. There are the Channel Islands boys (including me :wave ) mainly the Guernsey thread, then there are the south and south west spearo's, mainly the devon and the cornwall threads. Most of these threads are run by informal groups of individuals not clubs or anything.

In the south east there are some very strong spearfishing clubs. A few of there members used to post regularly but I haven't seen anything for a while. The sussex club in particular has some very good spearo's who make some very good catches but there's a bit of politics involved here. I know of a few of these boys who are members of DB but as mentioned haven't seen much posted recently. Clive (UKspearo) is involved in the British spearo competition scene and he would have info on clubs in your area. You could PM him. Even if you are not interested in competitions I'm sure you could make some contacts with others in your area through the clubs. You could also try a search for Sussex and I'm sure you'd get some results.

Good luck.

Dave
