Turns out Scubastore.com (the deeperblue store partners) don't deliver to Venezuela (my home country) for "security" reasons (WTF?), well I was wondering if any of you knew another store where I could order a reliable monofin.
 
Try Leader fins, theres a link at the very top of this page. Failing that special fins
 
Turns out I can't choose my payment method via credit card...

this is very frustrating... I really want a monofin!! :'(
 
you can try to explain to them the problem, then try wiring the money to them via bank transfer. i wouldn't risk sending $$ in the mail.

The thing is that in the Page I cannot choose the payment method as a credit card, I went over to SpecialFins and made an order but no card was required and they confirmed my order so i guess they'll ask for it later.

It's really frustrating having sent all my info to Diveinn and then being told that they would not ship...

and They're not giving me reasons either.
 
Can you use PayPal to do the payment???

I'm in Mexico and paypal solve most of the problems with verified adress and others (some stores just ship the stuf if the shiping adress is the same as the adress in the credit card contract).

Venezuela has a bad reputation in terms of people buying stuff with stolen credit cards. But you can always pay with a bank transfer only you'ld need to iron out the details beforehand. I know a local online store whose bank shut down their merchant bank account because they sold to Venezuela, so it seems that there are some countries that banks won't deal with in terms of online shopping. It took some time to clear up and my friends were quite angry.

Even so my friend I am using a swiss credit card from my mother, (I am 20 and I don't own a CC yet) so maybe that was it?? even though my second last name is the same as hers so there shouldn't be any confusion? it's weird maybe that's why they rejected it. I'll try again and add some comments.
 
You always have to use the exact name on the card to pay with, the shipping address and receiver can be anywhere you want, they are not going to compare that name with the credit card name. Who knows, maybe alarm bells go off in the system whenever some country gets named. But the banks are pretty good at screwing you around when they feel like it, - not giving reasons, etc. Many times the employees of the local branches don't even know themselves.
 
I put the EXACT name of my mother and her exact address... I don't know about any alarm bells going off but I've sent several mails including one to the branch here in Venezuela. the Webmaster of sportalsub.net told me he would personally write to scubastore.com...

really bad to see that only a country's name can give you such a bad reputation

i'm sure if you email them prior and explain they will give you alternatives. there is more than one way to skin a cat.. you can try paypal, bank transfer, maybe even mailing them a money order or cashiers check. they'd love your business and if you explain the problem i'm sure they'd work with you..

are they responding to your email? sometimes it takes a while.. hell it took 4 weeks before i got a reply from waterways about one of their monos.. leaderfins is REALLY good about getting back into contact.. maybe you should try them

Por aqui estamos dando una vuelta de vez en cuando para ver que hay de nuevo.
Estoy preparando una nueva pagina web que estamos haciendo, ya que aqui en USA vendemos Spetton, Marea, Maorisub y Leaderfins ademas de accesorios como dyneema, gomas por metro y arpones (varillas) hechos en Sudafrica.

Felicidades por el nuevo foro de pesca en el mediterraneo esta muy bien.
