Our watches have been developed with both fashion and practical use in mind. There are alot of so called divers watches out there that would not last 2 seconds. I remember years ago buying one from a very well known outlet / brand that in a few months it started to corrode at the back after dipping in the sea a few times and then I ended up getting a terrible rash. It turns out that it was the nickel content that caused all the problems. I have had other well known true diver branded watches but did not like the folded construction of the bracelet links.
Strange that a large retail outlet sold me a nickel content watch. It shocked me to think how many more well known retail outlets sold watches that may have nickel content in them and how many others have been affected by the allergy to nickel. <<caution>> Make sure that you get the best in quality particularly for constant use in wet conditions or even through hot sticky environments, nickel rash has got to be the worse experience I have had and there are plenty out there.
