Howzit guys,

Hopes this hasn't been asked too many times before, but my current gun with 6mm shaft single rubbers needs a bit more oomf. Wondering if I can just thread on another looped rubber (dyneema wishbone) to this muzzle?

Also, is it dangerous to mix stainless hinged wishbones with dyneema ones on the same spear?

Many thanks from a newbie!

A 6 mm shaft won't get any benefit with two bands. Just get shorter bands.
As luck would have it, that shaft got stuck in some rocks last week and I haven't been able to remove it... Might have to upgrade to a thicker spear after all!

Unless you only shoot very small fish, the 6.5 shaft will penetrate better and last longer.

Shafts designed for steel wishbones usually have sharp edges. Sharp notches and soft wishbones don't mix well.

Whilst I'm not the greatest size queen (yet), I do try keep the cod eating staple over the 3kg mark. Seem to be relaxing more and more each session too, all of a sudden I have some more time to play with underwater! Visibility is clearing up nicely now winter is approaching, think 7mm is an even better bet?

1 6.5 with a 16mm band should be quite enough. Going to 7mm would be fine also, but I'd stick with the 6.5mm.
How long is your band? Proper stretch is 3.5. On a 100cm (front tube length) the bands should be 29*30cm.
