As you speculated the only reason for the Super Falcon over the Mustang is the extension of the flap in the Mustang which makes it more cumbersome for spearfishing in close quarters.
The Mustang 40 is probably a better deep diving fin for someone who needs the stiffness and will never come in contact with the bottom. Try the 25 stiffness.
