Fastest?

believe me, the fastest fins are the mono fins.. it's hard to keep your mask from slipping down around your neck if you're going for speed.

I see now this was posted in bi-fins... from my tests with an underwater speedometer of the bi-fins I have, the carbon fiber fin (sporasub pure) was my fastest fin, then the gara's, then the mares avanti quattro pro, but all three being sort of close .. and then all the rest...

Did you or have you ever tested the Picasso Black team's? Are the newly marketed fastail's the same as the black team's? If so, how do they compare with the Gara's? Did you test the 3000 LD's or the 2000's? Sorry for all the questions, as soon as I pull the trigger and buy a pair of fins, I can move on and waste y'alls time elsewhere:t

I did not have a pair of black teams..although I have worn them several times I did not have a pair when I had the underwater speedometer. If I remember correctly the black teams are a similar plastic to the gara 2000hf's. I tested the gara 2000hf's. My brother has a pair of gara 3000's and I've worn them only for a short time and really liked the way they felt. Myself.. I love the cressi footpockets. Even though I prefer a softer fin, I wear the gara 2000hf's most of the time..these fins take the beating of rivers, rocks, rough shores, rough handling, hard finning.. you name it, they take it.

The blades of fastest fins are made from material with excellent elastic properties, i.e. carbon fiber or fibre-glass laminate. Plastic blades are not so good.
