Wel after flicking througha couple of rescent threads i thought hey whynot start making a listo of our favourite Freediving quotes?

so lets have it.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FREEDIVING QUOTE?

it can be from:
- Book
- movie
- documentary
- a freediver

for me its "Enzo"in The bIg Blue saying "its much better down there" just before Jaques takes him back down to the depths.

Certainly 'It's much better down there' is one of the most famous. Other greats from the Big Blue are:

Enzo to Jacques: 'How long can you hold your breath?'
Jaques: 'Longer than you can.'
Enzo: 'We'll see...' (big grin)

Also,

Jacques (before final dive): 'I have to go and see....' (a quote which only makes sense in the extended version, where you find out that he wants to see if the mermaids will come if he goes down without any intention of coming up)

My personal favorite is from Pipin, Ocean Men [verbatim]:
'The fiber of a real man is no by looking at how many times he fall down... But by how many times he can stand up and keep going...'

Another of my favorites is from Yasemin Dalkilic on deep safety debate:
"If you haven't had a problem down there, it just means that you haven't dived enough times."

And another from Pipin, Ocean Men, which is truly accurate, commenting on the secret of static apnea and the energy consumption of thoughts themselves:
"You have to concentrate really hard. If you are thinking about ten different things, you're wasting too much energy."

The scuba diver dives to look around. The freediver dives to look inside
