Hi all, two new czech national records have been set on March 7th, 2009 during FEB CUP 2009 competition in Pardubice.

The most important for sure was that czech freediver Jan Honysch from Freediver East Bohemia team reached amazing 200 m in DYN. Well, there is still a lot to beat world record but it's pretty good.

Here is the second one:
STA (women): 05:46 min. - Alena Zabloudilova - Freediving team Ostrava

There were also two Dutch national records set during this competition.
Karine Maflin from Apnea team Amsterdam set two new records for her country. One is for women's STA with 05:03 mins and the second one in DYN with 84 m.

Join me to congratulate them!

Congrats to all! It's a pity I could not make it to Pardubice; would love to see it.

Congratulations !

Is there some typo here? I think the dutch female records are higher.

Whoops.
Hi, the information about dutch national records were taken from the report of organizer. True to be told, I did not verify that with my friend Google yet. I am pretty aware of the czech national records but not very familiar with dutch ones...

Sorry if there is an incorrect information. I will try to search for that later.

Hi,

Dutch female national records are STA 5:43 and DYN 136 meters and I know :) the dutch male records were not broken either. Apart from that I think Karine Maflin is french. I have no idea what the french records are but if she beat those than that would be very impressive. I think this was Karine's 2nd competition only!

cheers,
Eric

Thanks for update ericvrp. If anybody find where the true lies, let me know. I will ask for the update of info on organizers page.

Hehe, it was just an additional info and now the important czech national record seems to be lost here. :) :)

Hm, I do not think 84 m is a French national women record either - that was 150 m for DYN already in 1998, and it is over 100 m in DNF anyway.

Well, according to aida ranking, French women records wasn't set neither...
Nevertheless, we saw a very good times and distances.
There were two men in first place in STA competition. Both of them had the same announced and performed times.
Women competition was dominated by Alena Zabloudilova. She did a very good and clean performances. She didn't compete for more than a one year, so it was a good starting competition for her.
Second overall in women part was Agata Boguzs from Poland. It was her first competition, so this is also impressive.
It was pretty amazing to see fist 200m DYN performed by Czech man on my own eyes. There was a samba during the SP but Jan luckily got a white card at the end. It took him 2:37 min to do these 200m (by my measurement) so it was pretty quick.
Organisers did a very good job. Let's hope there will be FEB Cup 2010!

AIDA International does not have any national records on their website. The ranking only shows the best performances for the current year. However, if you check French national records at ApneaMania.com, you can see that the 150 m record in DYN was set in 1998 by Nathalie Desreac. And since the website ApneaMania is kept on the same server as AIDA-International, maintained by the same people, and shared the database with AIDA-International, I think the information is pretty reliable. For official confirmation you would probably need to check with AIDA France.

Fantastic! Nice style and continous rythm...

On the video it seems like he is pushing off from the bottom just before surfacing...
is he?
is it allowed?

secondly - to me it seems like hes not touching the end of the pool before surfacing... I guess he should to get 200m - and not 199m. But then again, I can be wrong couse of the video angle...

Nevertheless a fantastic swim!
Morten
