A few months ago I was doing a lot of dry static breath holds for up to 5 mins with lots of 3+ min intervals but started feeling faint, like there wasn't enough blood flowing around my body. This happened randomly, hours after I had last trained. I also felt dizzy and disoriented at random times during the day. What could this be caused by?

Sounds like low blood pressure, if you know how to check it (with a monitor or sphygmomanometer) it could be a good idea to look. But that sounds like something worth visiting a doctor about - regardless of what testing says.
