i ordered a beuchat arka competition 75cm gun the other day. i have been using an ab biller 32'. i was looking for something with a slimmer shaft to work better on the smaller rockfish that i've been seeing lately but with still enough power for lingcod.
its my first euro gun. one of the reasons for buying was to get something a little slimmer and less bulky than the biller, the kelp is very thick right now on the CA coast.
just looking to see if anyone had any particular feelings about this gun. what kind of fishing people are doing with it, etc...
thanks

never used one, but should work. shaft might be a little light for ling in the rocks.

used the gun this past weekend and it worked great. shoots straight and accurately. bagged 8 fish in a few hours of diving in carmel.
i rigged the gun with a single wrap of mono and a bungee and the spear went consistently to the extent of its range on target. i might add on of those half wrap fins from hammerhead to give it a little more range.
