hi guys, i`m new here in deeperblue. me and my friends use selfmade speargun (lever type) i have one euro type speargun that i made.. and once in a while i go spearfishing with the local spearos, they use yapak (semi circular fins made of marine plywood or pvc) they hunt fish from 20ft to 100 ft depth. hoping have friends here and share experiences... tnx in advance dive safe :)

:wave Man, you guys are my heroes  What kind of job do you have? Or are you still in school? Post pics of the guns you made, and of the traditional gear! :king Cheers.

i will post some pictures soon im new here and im trying to figure out how post pictures.. i graduated from ateneo de naga university and presently im taking up shielded metal arc welding. commercial spearguns here are hard to comeby and if there is one for sale its way out of our price range even JBLs so we make our own gear.. usual fish are wahoo, barracuda, tuna, parrotfish and jacks and the occasional cuttlefish. take care :)

Hey pari how r u doing?

Welcome on DB and enjoy your time hope to explain for us the way of fishing you have there...

thanx pare salehthefish, i`m fine.. i`ll to upload pictures. we dont have that much big fish here because of illegal fishing but at least there is a little change, dynamite fishing is almost gone now and hopefully the fish population will recover.. it`s been raining for almost two weeks now so no spearfishing for me. we also spearfishi in freshwater and almost all the time visibility is 12 to 15 inches 1meter is the very best in freshwater i`ll have my pictures.. we spear mostly carp, tilapias and the occasional snakehead or eel. good day :)

hmmm some corrections ; i`ll try to upload some pictures once i have them scannned. we also spearfish in freshwater where visibility is almost always from 12 to 15 inches (not feet). :)

Welcome pinoycatfish. Look forward to seeing your guns - and your fins.
