Hey,
I'm heading over Thailand start of March, and am looking for advice. My life in a nut shell: quit my job, now doing everything possible to become apart of an underwater production company, filming underwater. My last job I worked as a teacher at Apples flagship store in Europe teaching camera technique and film editing. Prior to that I got a degree in music technology, with good knowledge of audio recording and editing along with creating sound scales for film.
So at the moment I am building up my lung capacity since I would like to capture footage of marine mammals. As I am sure many of you know some marine mammals see bubbles as signs of aggression... So freedive is a must.
First things first I need to build up my Freediving time in the water. On land my longest static breath hold, is 4.30. I know it's a different game underwater, moving around, exerting energy so it's this skill I need to increase.
I guess my questions are these:
1. Is there any one available to buddy up with in Thailand. I know I will be around Koh Tao, amongst other places.
2. is there any one who has filmed, or would like to film with me or knows contacts of people to film with.
3. What wet suit would you recommend?
Look forward to hearing from you
Harrison.
