hey guys, I have finally started...asked you guys for some advise, 2 months ago and today was my first big day.
I decided to pick up the spearfishing again 4 months ago, I used to snorkle a bit and had some fishing(spear) experience, well.....you know...a cheap blue/yellow gun, scuba fins and no idea or what so ever..
well...I moved to Gibraltar, saw a few guys spearfishing met, a pretty famous guy on this site called Memo and off I went,
I decided to start training, some extra cardio, dry static training even some apnea running.
Asked memo and shane for some advise regarding my equipment, they went with me, bought myself a beuchat 7mm, picasso mask, gara 3000 fin setc...
I decided to wait with the gun, practiced and tried to get used to get alittle bit deeper...longer, just get the feel of it...
Yesterday I bought myself a totem pelagos( second hand from Shane),feels and looks great.
Today memo took me to little bay in Gibralatar, wow...amazing, although the viz was ok, memo told me, it was hard to see a thing, a lot of current.
I felt comfortable diving, went to 20 meters, the feel of the gun, my fisical condition was ok....but man...still got to learn a million things...

After reading a zillion stories about how dangerous it can be, I learned it myself...I saw Memo going under, I noticed the current...tried to follow him, from the surface but lost him....I waited, No Memo....2 minutes no memo...decided to have a look, I went down to look for him...still no memo....went up...about 3 minutes.....I started to be really worried...I thought, he must be able to stay under this long...but knowing him, he is a responsable guy, I thought he would never do something....suddenly I see him, at least 100 meters away...the current...he was also surprised...

Anyways.....I enjoyed it tremendously....Got the virus...

Cant wait until I will catch my first Dorada....will let you know.......
