alright so idk why but my knot slipped off when i shot my gun off today... i tried searching for it but couldnt find it... there is alot of sea weed close to the bottom i know in the general area where it should be...

the water isnt very deep like 8 feet or so

anythoughts on finding it? its in a private cove so my friend thinks getting a rack and clearing out the space to try to find it..

i was thiking a metal detector but we dont have one.. any other thoughts?

If you can get your hands on a pretty descent size magnet and some rope. You can just drag the bottom from a boat. It has worked for me finding a fishing pole before.

Dude, if you do find it invest in some heavy mono and a good set of crimpers and read Miles's awsome thread "Dummies guide to rigging a speargun". If you dont find it invest in some heavy mono and a good set of crimpers and read Miles's awsome thread "Dummies guide to rigging a speargun".

Nemrod Spear

after two days of looking we can't find the spear for the gun. Where can i order a new one from?

Its a nemrod band gun by seamless...

its around 50cm long so its a real little gun

Re: Nemrod Spear

It's time to retire the Ol' Nemrod. If it has sentimental value (like my Ultimate Oil Rig gun), restore it and hang it up on your wall.

I am sure most here would agree with me that it may be best for you to purchase a more modern gun that matches you current budget and hunting needs. Modern shafts are readily available for purchase should you ever bend or lose one again.

In the mean time, keep an eye on ebay for any old Nemrod products if you like, and you may get lucky! :)

Re: Nemrod Spear

I agree with Jim. Not because I think he's right, but because it's good for him to have people agree with him. Though it does happen that he's right.

Actually - you could probably get a spear for that gun www.spearboard.com But really and truly you don't know what kind of shape the trigger mech is in. Probably the handle and muzzle attachments are loose etc. etc. You might end up with something dangerous.
